62 Ford Econoline Pickup

One evening we were sitting around talking about cars with some friends and I asked anyone if they remembered the little Ford Pickups that were sold in the 60's. We "Googled" them and thought how cool it would be to own one. Now for the scary part. The very next day we were contacted by an interested party to appraise one! Not only did we appraise it for our customer, but we also managed to buy it substantially under the sellers asking price.

For the short time we had the vehicle we did a few things to it at the customers request. It only had the bottom half of the driver's seat in it, so we got rid of what was there and mounted a pair of Porsche bucket seats that we had left over from stripping a 944 out. We even hooked power up to them! We also rebuilt the carby and gave it a service and tune with a new set of plugs, leads, cap and rotor. We tossed the points and fitted a Pertronix kit to the distributor. We also had the Mag Wheels polished and had a new set of tyres mounted and balanced.

We stored the vehicle for a short time, and when an import license was approved we shipped it to its new owner in Sydney Australia.
