Vehicle Appraisal Service
My Wife and I are Aussies living just south of Dallas Texas. I was born and raised in Sydney to Hot Rodding parents, so I spent all of my childhood and early adulthood around Australian and American Muscle Cars.
With the American Dollar at its weakest ever, there is a huge influx of American Vintage, Classic and Muscle Cars being purchased here in the U.S and shipped to areas all over the world.
If you find a vehicle online but are not 100% sure what you are being told by the seller is the complete truth, then Corvettes and Hot Rods offers a service that will inspect and appraise the vehicle for you. Here is what we do:-
1) Run the VIN to make sure the vehicle is not stolen and that there is no Lien on it.
2) Visually inspect the vehicle inside and out, on top and underneath. If a lift is not available, then we jack the vehicle up, place it on stands and crawl underneath to inspect it. We document everything with a digital camera - pics are free so we take a lot of them, and I mean a lot! All photos and videos are emailed ASAP and a backup can be mailed at no additional charge.
3) We check and confirm all claims made by the seller as to originality and commonly claimed things like numbers matching, option codes etc.
4) We check for rust in all areas, any repairs made with patch panels, bondo, fiberglass etc (you would be amazed at what we have seen people use for repairs).
5) Offer an honest opinion as to the value of the vehicle, and in some cases even negotiate a better deal.
6) Transport or organize the vehicle to be transported to our secure storage. In most cases you will need an Import License from the Government before you can ship your vehicle home. We can take care of your vehicle while you arrange all the necessary paperwork.

Fees vary depending on vehicle location. Although we are based in the Dallas area, we will travel anywhere to inspect and appraise a vehicle for you.
